Plans & sketches that I worked on, in my 1 year attempt to become an architect
Before expanding my passion in design and tech & becoming a UX/UI designer
Context
As a high school senior, I had to decide on my university path. Although my specialization was in Foreign Languages, I spent years participating in exhibitions and winning national art competitions in painting and drawing. These experiences initially inspired me to pursue Architecture, leading to 1 year of intensive preparation for the University of Architecture in Bucharest, Romania. However, during that time, I discovered my passion for Design and ultimately completed my BA at the University of the Arts Bucharest.

2D & 3D Visualization
Enhance the ability to think spatially and visualize 3D forms in 2D.
Translate abstract concepts into tangible, visual ideas.
Perspective Drawing
Master vanishing points, horizon lines, and perspective grids to depict depth accurately.
Use perspective techniques to create dynamic, immersive sketches.
Shading and Lighting
Use shading, shadows, and light sources to add depth and dimension to the sketch.
Understand how light interacts with surfaces and materials.
Functional problem-solving
Solve spatial and functional problems visually.
Scaling & Proportion
Translating real-world dimensions into accurately scaled representations for construction and design communication.
Spatial Awareness
Developing the ability to visualize and represent complex forms, volumes, and spaces from different angles and viewpoints.
Axonometric Drawing
Representing 3D objects in a 2D plane while keeping dimensions true to scale, aiding in technical accuracy.
Geometric Construction
Applying geometric principles to create accurate shapes, angles, and proportions essential for structural and aesthetic design.
Applying Architecture background as a UX Designer
I later applied my architecture background as a UX Designer on an IBM project, mapping the area + navigation at the Böblingen research lab, IBM's largest outside the USA.

Context
Team & Product Vision - In 2020-2021, DocMe, a University of Cambridge alums startup had a vision to help doctors avoid putting patients at risks when seeing them face to face. And support people’s overall well-being.
Longer term, the product aimed to benefit doctors in preventing to make a riskier triage without essential vital signs data.
Challenges
Launch the product for personal use with small resources
Increase adoption by targeting both personal use for health conscious young adults and doctors in private clinics.
Understand how doctors and people might use vital signs health data to support overall well-being and reflect it in the product.
Constraints
Resources - small Design, Dev + Computer Vision Team
Technical Considerations - Platforms, Computer Vision AI
Designing for data privacy, trust, engagement and adoption
Target users
Mobile - Health-conscious young adults
SaaS - Private clinics doctors
Mobile - iOS, Android,

How might we make the spaces easier to find while communicating the local culture, and respond to the teams needs?
Research
The Research & Development Lab Map
The existent map does not offer the option to have an overview of the activities that happen in the buildings within the lab.
Changing Spaces
When working, people are switching between many rooms.
Changing Teams / Changing People Within Teams
They are also switching between teams sometimes for shorter projects. Therefore they also work in sometimes unexpected different spaces in the lab.
